Begin in the Beginning

Bisbee Family Journal June 2010

June 29^th, flights out from Burlington to Detroit.  Detroit to Minneapolis, Minneapolis to Denver.  91 degrees, sunny.  Up at 3am EST, bed at 10:02 pm (CST).

 Arrived in Denver, met Gus the rental car.  He is silver and large and comes equipped with Sirrius radio and GPS.  Had barbeque with Niles family.  Everyone played monopoly.  Tied Griffin, Quinn, Lori and Ally big winners.  By the time Uncle Mark went to say goodnight to Ally (approximately 3 minutes after head touchdown), Ella was fast asleep.  Quinn mentioned that he wasn’t tired, he just wanted to rest.  Lisa made a pact with GAEQ that they would kill her if she ever wanted to buy a Hello Kitty purse.  We got to read Griffin’s report card.  He is wicked smart but doesn’t really share it in homeroom.  Girls beat the boys at soccer 10-5 (even with Fred in goal~or perhaps because of). Bisbees are in good spirits

Puking, Packing, Panicking

Oh no!!!  Quinn puked this morning.  Very quietly in the downstairs toilet, without any help from a grown up.  As soon as I found him big tears welled up his eyes and he asked "Can I still go on vacation tomorrow?"  Oh dear...So he is calmly watching TV and trying to make his stomach feel better.  He is keeping food down and has s slight temperature, nothing a little Tylenol wont cure!!

Panicking comes from my lack of packing and the chaos that is my playroom.  Piles of clothes, electronics (how many chargers can we have??) and bug spray fills my mind with panic...

What are we thinking??

Who had this crazy idea to go for a whole month out west??  There is no way I can get ready in just a week!  Today I found out that it costs $34 to mail a smallish box out to Denver, better to pay the $25 extra baggage fee me thinks...Alas, that does not bode well for speedy packing done a week early. Rats!  Plus, today I almost had to trip the kids.  They were arguing over who got to (read "had to")  wheelie my boxes into the new office.  Ella, who helped the most got  a leftover Gatorade from the fridge that we were cleaning out.  I am too freaking nice to her.  Must not have her get used to it~

Man I have a lot to do and here I am procrastinating on the computer..wait I am calling it "Loading the new I Touch" (there is no way we can listen to country music for a month straight with killing each other).  That sounds more like partaking in the packing processes, dontcha think?
